This is my first time typing a blog. I'm not sure what i should be doing. What is there to type in a blog? I guess that I'll be telling you about myself. First of all, i don't like to have my name on the Internet at the moment, as it makes me uncomfortable. I will be refereed to as Uala Girl. Uala is a Hawaiian word. I am currently living in 'Oahu, one of the eight main Hawaiian islands. Uala is Hawaiian for sweet potato because uala is my favorite Hawaiian food. Uala is sometimes purple and is very delicious.
Another purple food is poi. poi is taro or, in Hawaiian, kalo pounded into a paste that is then eaten. It makes very good baby food, as several little kids i know have eaten it all. If you don't grow up eating poi, it tastes very bland and tasteless. You are able to add sugar to it, like me, and then eat it. However, a lot of sugar needs to be added in order for the poi to taste good. Add less and less sugar so you get used to it. Getting used to poi is almost like getting used to drinking tea. After you drink enough, you enjoy the taste.
Aw man! Look at me! All I'm talking (typing) about is food! Here in Hawai'i, that's what we do. At parties, there is always a lot of food. every one brings food. Every party is like a pot luck, except everyone can eat. It isn't just up to the host/hostess to get enough food, but you can expect some locals to bring some food. my favorite is desserts... which is to be expected. I have seen all kinds of dishes. Sushi, steak, pig, chicken, chili, spaghetti, and lots of local foods that i can't remember the names of. Yeah. I think about food a lot.
I have a DeviantART account. uala-girl.deviantart.com I don't have a lot of art on it because I'm trying to get my own website besides this blog before posting more. I'm also waiting until i get photoshop before posting more art. For me, I'm very artistic. I actually see every thing as an art. Some better than other. I'm not saying what's what, but i can now see that I'm dragging this on quite a bit. Later.
